As the autumn leaves signal the start of Ohio State University’s football season, Columbus has another reason to celebrate. Graduate Columbus, in an exciting collaboration with HOMAGE, the beloved Columbus vintage apparel brand, has unveiled what many are already touting as the world’s best Ohio State bar: Homage Bar.
Opening its doors on September 7th, just in time for OSU’s first home game of the season, Homage Bar is the brainchild of Ryan Vesler, CEO and founder of HOMAGE. Having deep roots tied to Ohio State, the venue captures the essence of local culture, infused with Vesler’s own personal history. “Homage Bar is a dream come true,” said Vesler. “We’ve created a place that feels like my parents’ basement where HOMAGE was born.”
Taking inspiration from the American dive bar, the new establishment will be located on the ground floor of the Graduate Columbus hotel. Beyond its rich design, visitors can look forward to signature craft cocktails crafted by Columbus native and beverage connoisseur, Joshua Gandee. From the invigorating “Randy Savage’s Drink” to the classic “Y’all Make an Old Fashioned?”, patrons are in for a delightful taste of Ohio. Complimenting these beverages are concession-style light bites, with highlights such as the “After Dark BLT” and “Fried Beef Bologna Toasty”.
To mark its debut, Homage Bar will be organizing a grand opening event in October, where HOMAGE plans to release a limited-edition t-shirt.
Annamarie Moore, General Manager, Graduate Columbus, shared her excitement about the collaboration, stating that the partnership with HOMAGE “just made sense”. “Homage Bar at Graduate Columbus is such a fun, immersive and unique way to encourage everyone to connect with our shared love of nostalgia and storytelling,” Moore added.
For those eager to experience the buzz, the Homage Bar will operate from 6 am to 12 pm daily, and in the evenings from 5 pm, extending till 12 am on Fridays and Saturdays.
Located at 750 N High St, Columbus, Ohio, this venue promises to be a cherished gathering place for locals, visitors, and Ohio State and HOMAGE fans nationwide.
